HACCP: FOOD SAFETY CONTROL
The Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP) system serves as a documented method to ensure food safety throughout the production process. Identification, analysis, and evaluation of hazards, followed by the implementation of preventive measures at critical points, are essential. Annual verification of the HACCP plan is necessary to provide continuous assurance of food safety.
IFS FOOD: INTERNATIONAL QUALITY STANDARDS
IFS Certification assesses whether manufacturers are capable of producing safe, legal products that meet customer specifications. This standard focuses on product and process safety, creating a uniform global standard for product quality and transparency within the supply chain. With strict evaluations and audits, requiring a score of over 95% for Higher Level certification, IFS guarantees the highest standards for food safety and quality.
CLAS ACCREDITATION FOR LABORATORY COMPETENCE
Theo Bauwens NV demonstrates its laboratory competence through accredited certification from the Campden Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (CLAS). This certification, compatible with international standards such as ISO 17025:2017 and BRC Global Standard for Food Safety, ensures the consistency and reliability of analysis results. Since 1998, the microbiological laboratory has been certified according to CLAS Standard version 4, which is evidence of high-quality laboratory practices and quality controls within Theo Bauwens NV.
CAMPDEN LABORATORY ACCREDITATION SCHEME
CLAS certification is recognized as a significant endorsement for large and small laboratories. Some core elements include: use of validated methods supported by appropriate quality controls and good laboratory practices.
The microbiological laboratory has been assessed and certified - since 1998 - by Campden BRI against CLAS Standard version 4, which is compatible with the principles/requirements for testing activities in international standards such as ISO 17025:2017 and BRC Global Standard for Food Safety.
